Definition

The date with which data is read from the dangerous goods master so that dangerous goods checks can be run and dangerous goods documents can be created.

The selection date contains the end of validity of the respective document in each case.

Use

This date is relevant for the following SD document categories:

  • Request for quotation
  • Quotation
  • Scheduling agreement
  • Scheduling agreement with external services
  • Contract

For these SD document categories, you can select two date fields as selection dates (valid-from and valid-to dates) in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the IMG activity Specify Date for Determination of DG Master Data.

When you create a sales document, the system automatically enters the date you specified in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in this date field.

If you have not filled out the document date set in Customizing, the system enter today's date as the selection date (date for reading the dangerous goods master).

When a sales document is processed, the date is updated if you have changed the corresponding document date or the setting in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management.

Dependencies

The Selection date field is only filled if you have selected the two date fields as the selection date in the IMG activity Specify Date for Determination of DG Master Data.
