Definition
Mobile telephone number consisting of dialing code and number, but without country code.
Use
Mobile telephone number as it is to be dialed from the same country.
Procedure
Enter the mobile telephone number.
The following rules apply for the formatting of mobile phone numbers:
- The length of input in field Mobile Telephone can be a maximum of 24 characters.
- Leading blank characters are not permitted in field Mobile Telephone.
- The following are recognized as valid characters:
- Digits (0123456789)
- Letters (ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ)
- The characters: /, (, ), -, * , # and " " (blanks), but not as leading characters.
- If a + is entered as the first character, the system checks whether the specified number starts with a country code. If it does, a warning is output because the country code is determined automatically by the system and is not to be stored in the field 'Mobile Telephone Number'.
- If an & is entered as the first character, the automatic check and formatting of the mobile telephone number and the detemination of the country code are suppressed.
Examples
For the number "01234/56789", enter the following:
Mobile telephone: 01234/567
For the number "708 205-2342", enter the following:
Mobil telephone: 708 205-2342
Dependencies
If more than one mobile telephone number is maintained for an address, the first mobile telephone number is marked as the standard number.
