Definition

The current period for billing is analyzed during dynamic period control and allocated to one or more categories. The category is used to determine which periods have to be corrected.

Example

If an actual meter reading takes place at the end of March, and the meter reading was previously estimated, the March period is set to period category 3000 ("current period lies between an estimated and an actual meter reading result"). At the same time, a customer-defined period category could be the "last month in the quarter".
