Documentation
Definition
Using this indicator, you determine whether this field is to be used as an aggregation criterion for the relevant declaration type. Data aggregation serves to reduce the data volume to be declared.
An aggregated presentation is the grouping of several document items with identical characteristics into a single item. The values and quantities of the individual items will be totalled accordingly.
You can use data aggregation when you create the actual declaration to the authorities, that is, when you create the declaration form or the file/diskette.
Use
You set the characteristics (aggregation criteria) to be used for data aggregation with this field. Set this indicator if you want the system to use this field as aggregation criterion.
If you have not specified a characteristic in Customizing for the relevant declaration type and you want to aggregate data in order to create declarations, the system will use internally defined characteristics which correspond to the relevant legal regulations.
If you want to set your own characteristics in Customizing, it is imperative that you check the legal regulations to see which criteria must be used.
Example
You want the system to aggregate only those data records that have the same commodity code. Select the 'commodity code' field (STATWAREN) as anaggregation criterion. If you also want the system to use the business transaction type as an aggregation criterion, select the 'business transaction type' field (ARTGESCHA) as well.
