Documentation
Definition
Select this indicator if the service is always subject to surcharges or discounts due to chief physician services or external physician services (or due to the case classification treatment class).
In Germany, for example, a discount of nursing charges for external and chief physician patients is prescribed by the federal regulation for hospitals.
Whether a service actually provided is subject to a chief physician or external physician discount is determined by a case classification.
Additional information
The indicator is evaluated by subsequent programs, particularly by the patient accounting program. As a result, the indicator Service billed to patient (ISHCARKZ) or External physician service (ISHBARKZ) is set to the day for every service, providing it falls in a period of the above-mentioned case classification. It can then be called up by condition structures; for example, within price or revenue account determination.
