Use

Classifies the billing document according to its intended purpose.

In this way the system can determine whether it is, for example, a document from a final billing or periodic billing run, or a document created manually.

This particular billing transaction in the bill document is only required for period-end billing. The billing transaction is 'period-end billing' in the case of period-end billing. Additional required information is the billing transaction (periodic billing, final billing) that triggered creation of the period-end billing.
