Definition
You can define a number of derivation rules for each derivation structure. The derivation structure determines which characteristics are to be used as source and target fields for derivation, as well as the sequence in which the various derivation structures are to be processed.
A derivation rule represents the assignment of values of the source characteristics to values of the target characteristics for one time interval.
