Definition

This determines whether costs can be settled to a cost object ID number.

Use

If the cost object ID number is a node in a cost object hierarchy. the cost object type determines how settlement takes place. Settlement can:

  • be made using a settlement rule for each node in the hierarchy
  • settle all the costs for the nodes in the hierarchy and all price differences for the assigned orders to the topmost node in the cost object hierarchy. Only then can a posting be made to a price difference account.

Dependencies

If the costs for the cost object hierarchy are distributed to the assigned orders, settlement is via the orders.
