Definition
If this indicator is turned on, cost elements must be assigned to line IDs separately for each results analysis key.
Use
If you perform results analysis using different methods (such as using revenue-based results analysis for a project but carry the reserves for the costs of complaints on a separate contingency order assigned to the project), it is recommended that you differentiate the assignment rules by results analysis key.
Up to Release 2.2, cost elements under which the object was credited and debited were assigned to line IDs within a results analysis version.
From Release 3.0 onwards it is possible to make a separate assignment for each results analysis key. This enables you to define a separate rule for capitalizing the calculated work in process for each results analysis key.
Procedure
- If you want to have the line ID assignments differentiated by results analysis key, turn on this indicator.
- Define the line IDs.
See also: Define line IDs
- Assign the cost elements to line IDs for each combination of controlling area, results analysis version and results analysis key.
See also: Define assignment for results analysis
Examples
For one results analysis key you define a cost element group as having a requirement to capitalize for WIP calculation, and for another results analysis key you define the same cost element group as relevant to the creation of reserves for complaints.
