Definition
The deduction amount includes, per payment advice item, the total of all deductions.
You can also enter a reason code for a deduction amount, which controls, for example, whether the difference is to be charged off or not.
Another alternative is to enter several sub-items for a payment advice item and split the deduction amount into several partial amounts, each with a different reason code.
