Definition

Splits one requisition item into two.

Use

This checkbox is set and inventory management is chronological:

If the available quantity at the sender is less than the confirmed quantity of the requisition item, the requirement is split into two. One requisition item will have the available quantity with status 4 (Shipping Created) and another item will have the remaining quantity of the original requisition item with status 2 (Confirmed). If the checkbox is not set, system will give error message that available quantity is not sufficient.

If the available quantity at the sender is greater than the confirmed quantity of the requisition item, the requirement is not split and a shipping doucment is created for the full confirmed quantity.

This checkbox is set and inventory management is non-chronological:

If the available quantity at the sender is less than the confirmed quantity of the requisition item and the available quantity is not negative, the requirement is split into two. One requisition item has the available quantity with status 4 (Shipping Created) and the other item has the remaining quantity of the original requisition item with status 2 (Confirmed). If the checkbox is not set, system will create a shipping document for full confirmed quantity which will result the negative stock on sender.

If the available quantity at the sender is greater than the confirmed quantity of the requisition item and the available quantity is negative, the requirement is not split and a shipping document is created for the entire confirmed quantity.
