Definition
Key used to determine the base value of an NF metal.
Use
The base key is used to assign various base values to an NF metal. This makes it possible, for example, to calculate the prices of products using different base values.
Example
Base key 'K0' lets you calculate the price of a material without taking the copper price into account.
By contrast, 'K1' takes a copper price of DM 300 per 100 kg into account.
Base key Base value Currency Qty Unit
K0 0,00 DEM per 100 KG
K1 300,00 DEM per 100 KG
Dependencies
The base keys are set in the Implementation Guide. Different values can be set for each sales/purchasing organization.
A base key (and therefore a base value) is determined in sales orders or purchase orders by reference to the key assigned to the material or by means of default values. The base value is then translated into the document currency.
Base key "99" allows you to specify your own base value.
Note
You must use different NF keys to distinguish different qualities and properties of NF metals.
