Definition
The loading group to which the material is assigned is determined by means of the field 'LDU grp.' (loading unit group) in the material master.
Loading unit groups need to be entered in the Customizing table 'loading unit groups' (/BEV1/LUT906_V) before they can be used in the material master.
Loading within a LDU group is not performed for one specific product type (mixed pallet). If a material is not assigned to a loading group (field value initial), loading is performed for one specific product type exclusively.
Is loading performed for one specific product type exclusively (without LDU group), the determined loading units are recorded as item loading units for each material. The remaining quantities are one item loading unit.
Is loading performed for a variety of product types, the determind loading units are put together in item loading units for each LDU group. The remaining quantities are one item loading unit.
The total of the determined item loading units corresponds to the number of document data units. Thus, the ID 'LDU grp.' controls summing up the item loading units into document loading units.
