In this step, you define profiles for customer management. These profiles define the procedure for registering, customer identification, and a Possible entries function for countries for customer addresses.

These profiles can be assigned to one or more online stores in the Online Stores step.

You can select early customer registration, access without registration (preventing the creation of new customers - useful in business-to-business scenarios), and encrypted transfer (SSL).

You can define whether a customer is to be identified by means of the customer number or e-mail address, and which possible entries for countries are to be used in a country schema defined in the step Country selection for customer address. If no schema is assigned, all countries can be used.
