Use
In this Customizing activity, you can limit the IDoc size of several outbound messages by defining the maximum number of segments per outbound IDoc.
Requirements
This function is restricted to certain outbound applications and messages, such as bonus buy, POS outbound and the HPR assortment list application.
Standard settings
The standard system has has no IDoc size control for outbound applications or the IDoc size is fixed and not variable.
Activities
In the POS Message Type field, select the required entry from the input help.
In the Max. Number of IDoc Segments field, specify the maximum number of segments for the IDoc that is created for the selected message type.
Example
For transferring bonus buy data, you want to create IDocs with 100 segments each.
You select the message type Bonus Buy Data, enter the value 100 as the maximum number of IDoc segments, and save your entries. From now on, each bonus buy IDoc you create has a maximum size of approximately 100 segments.
Note
The actual number of IDoc segments can slightly exceed the value you specified as the maximum number of segments. This can happen because every item must have been completely processed before a split occurs.
