Use

In this IMG activity, you can activate the full text search for the sold-to party. You activate this for a sales document type, such as for quotations and standard orders.

If the Sold-To Party field in order entry is ready for input, you can easily search for a sold-to party.

  • You can enter the following data for the sold-to party, which the search engine uses to search the index:
    Sold-to party's city, last name, first name, zip code, street address
  • Depending on the search result you can continue order entry:
    • If the search result is unique, the system copies the customer number directly to order entry.
    • If the system finds several sold-to parties, you can select the one you want from the hit list.

Requirements

The search engine (TREX) indexes the Customer Master (KNA1) object and there is an RFC connection to TREX.

Standard settings

The full text search is not active in the standard system.
