Use

In this Customizing activity, you can maintain the general settings that are used during integration between Portfolio and Project Management and Project System.

Activities

You can choose the type of setting, and then enter information for the following fields:

  • RFC Destination - for the Portfolio and Project Management system.
  • Synchronization On - the status of the synchronisation.
  • Logon/Server Group - used for parallel processing.
  • Exchange Rate Type - used during currency conversion.
  • Data Packet (Parallel Processing)
    • The data packet figure refers to the number of Porfolio and Project Management items to be processed during parallel processing. Parallel processing is performed to fetch planning cost and capacity data associated with the Project System project.

The data packet figure is used to control the number of items that should be executed in each parallel step. When specifying this figure, consider the number of Project System projects or elements attached to Portfolio and Project Management items and system settings. The processing time of a parallel step should not exceed the processing time setting for the dialog step. (You can find this value by going to transaction RZ11 and entering the system profile parameter RDISP/MAX_WPRUN_TIME).

  • Data Packet (Data Transfer)
    • This data packet size refers to number of Project System projects for which planning costs and capacity associated with the Project System project will be fetched and transferred to the Portfolio and Project Management system. This figure is used to control the data size to be transferred to the Portfolio and Project Management system in one step. The amount of data that can be transferred to external system is limited by system memory.
