Use

In this activity, you activate the time-dependent assignment of company codes to taxes on sales/purchase groups.

For the system to be able to determine the taxes on sales/purchase group depending on the period, you need to specify for each company code the document date with which the system determines the taxes on sales/purchase group. For this, the following options are available:

Note:
If you make time-dependent assignments between company codes and taxes on sales/purchases groups, the system no longer uses time-independent assignments in reporting (in Customizing for Sales/Purchases Tax Return under Assign Company Codes to Tax on Sales/Purchases Groups).
For this reason, we recommend making time-dependent assignments for all company codes.

Requirements

In Customizing for Sales/Purchases Tax Returns, you have defined the taxes on sales/purchases groups in the activity Define Tax on Sales/Purchases Groups.

Standard settings

Activities

For all company codes, specify which date of the document is used for the assignment.

Other Activities

You make the assignments in Customizing for Sales/Purchases Tax Returns in the activity Make Time-Dependent Assignments Between Company Codes and Taxes on Sales/Purchases Groups.

Example

Document: Company code 0001 with posting date 08/05/2011 and document date 07/20/2011.

You have defined the following time-dependent assignments between company codes and taxes on sales/purchases groups:

BUKRS    From Date    Sales/Purchases Tax Group

0001    01/01/2011    UM01

0001    08/01/2011    UM08

The system determines different taxes on sales/purchases groups depending on whether you have selected the document date or the posting date as the decisive date:

Receipt Date    -> Sales/Purchases Tax Group    = UM01

Posting Date    -> Sales/Purchases Tax Group    = UM08
