FORM routines for data transfer allow you to fine tune the copied fields during the copying process. FORM routine 001 for the copying of partner data from the order header, for example, includes the following requirements for the data transfer:
the system only copies partner data from the order header if when copying from the request screen, otherwise this routine cannot be carried out
the sold-to party of the reference document has to be identical
during partner transfer, all partners are copied
after the routine the system deletes all partners that are not allowed
after the routine has been carried out, you can add partners
Regardless of whether you want to use the FORM routines for data transfer in the standard system or whether you want to use your own routines, you have to specify them in the document flow. For texts, you specify the routines in the access sequences for text determination. There, a list of the routines available for data transfer is displayed.
This section describes how to define FORM routines for data transfer according to the specific requirements of your organization for the following documents:
Sales orders
Deliveries
Billing documents
Sales activities
The same procedure is used to create copying requirements for texts.
Procedure
Check whether the routines for data transfer in the standard system meet your requirements.
Either overwrite an existing FORM routine or select a group number from the number range reserved for customer modifications (600-699) and enter the corresponding description.
Program the routine in the editor.
Activate the routine.
Enter a long text that describes the meaning of the routine in more detail.
Enter the routine in the document flow for the document type for which you have created the routine.
