The delivery (outbound delivery) is replicated from the central ERP system to the decentralized WMS. The replicated delivery is used during the entire outbound delivery process in the decentralized WMS, including picking, packing, and shipping. The decentralized WMS must report the result of the outbound delivery to the central ERP system so that the delivery is informed about the completed outbound delivery process. When goods issue is posted in the WMS, the return confirmation is activated in the system which must be passed on to the delivery in the ERP system.
Delivery distribution
Like the delivery replication, the distribution for the return verification of the delivery takes place based on the warehouse number which is defined as the only filter object for the delivery.

Distribution is carried out using BAPI OutboundDelivery.ConfirmDecentral. (Method ConfirmDecentral for object type LIKP = OutboundDelivery). Communication is asynchronous and takes place using the IDoc of message type SHP_OBDLV_CONFIRM_DECENTRAL generated from the BAPI.
Recommendation
Activities
- You must maintain the distribution model for method OutboundDelivery.ConfirmDecentral.
If the central system (ERP system) is an SAP system, the distribution model is maintained in the central system and distributed to the decentralized WMS. In this case, you are not required to maintain the model for this method.
If the central system (ERP system) is a non-SAP system, you must maintain this method together with all other distribution objects when the distribution model is generated.
