If you use a scenario for decentralized WMS processing in which the central ERP system is an SAP system, then the definition of the distribution is to take place in the ERP system and is to be distributed from there to the decentralized WM system.
In this case, you must not maintain the distribution model in the decentralized WM system. You must only maintain the partner profile. You can either generate the partner profile from the distribution model (Distribution (ALE) -> Maintain Distribution Model) or by using the partner profile task (Distribution (ALE) -> Communication ).

However, if the central system (ERP system) is a non-SAP system, you must define the distribution in the decentralized WM system.
