For certain processes in the decentralized WMS, so-called warehouse documents are used for communicating with the central ERP system. The numbers for these documents are assigned automatically.

Requirements
Standard settings
In the SAP standard system, number range "01" is set for warehouse documents in warehouse number "001".
Recommendation
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.

- Determine which number ranges you want to use for assigning numbers to warehouse documents in the decentralized WMS.
- Define the number range intervals.
