Use
In this IMG activity, you activate for each controlling area that the date from the time sheet is to be used as the document date for confirmation documents.
Together with the settings for the valuation date and activation of transaction-based overhead, you can use this activation to be able to carry out the activity allocation and overhead calculation based on the document date instead of the posting date.
Requirements
So that the document date is used, you have to carry out not just the activation in this IMG activity, but also Determine and Assign the Settings for the Valuation Date . For the overhead calculation, it is also necessary that you have activated the Transaction-Based Overhead.

Example
In a closed period, an adjustment of the confirmation is made in the time sheet. By activating the date of the time sheet as document date, the adjustments can be made with the prices and overhead that were valid on the day for which the adjustment was made. Without this activation, the adjustment would be made with current prices and overhead in the current period.
