Description
In this IMG activity, you can define handling types which are used to find the correct excise duty rate in the excise duty rates tables for external and internal rates and condition records.
In sales, the handling type refers to the excise duty rate applied to the material, with respect to the customer's excise duty (ED) status.
In purchasing, the handling type refers to the excise duty rate applied to the material, with respect to the vendor's ED status.
For transfers, the handling type refers to the excise duty rate at the destination location.
Example
Various handling types may be given a code and described for each possible excise duty rate: for example: untaxed, reduced tax for heating , fully taxed.
Standard settings
There are no standard settings for this table, because the entries are dependent on the regulations of local authorities.
Further notes
An entry is required for each set of rates that may be applied during the movement of dutiable material.
