In addition to the standard function for copying planning or actual data, SAP provides the enhancement COOMKPT4, with which you can adapt the above-mentioned programs to your specific requirements:

COOMKPT4

Before the data that is imported for copying is transferred to the planning data interface for checking and updating, you can process this data. Callup the enhancement per planning transaction (RKP1, RKP2 etc.).

This SAP enhancement includes the following enhancement components:

  • EXIT_SAPMGPT4_010    Copying costs
  • EXIT_SAPMGPT4_020    Copying quantities and prices

Example

SAP supplies the following examples on using the enhancement components for copying actual data to planning:

  • Grouping of detailed cost elements in actual with cost elements in plan
  • Using sets
  • Entering missing data in actual periods in plan with average values from actual

Activities

  1. Create the enhancement.

    You can edit the SAP enhancement in SAP enhancement management. For this purpose, choose

    Tools -> ABAP workbench -> Utilities -> Enhancements -> Project management

    Create either a new project or use an available project.

  2. Activate the project.

    Only through activation does your enhancement becomes effective.

Further notes

Unlike modifications, enhancements are generally compatible with any release because they are not part of the SAP original and reside in a name range reserved for the customer.
