In this section (as an alternative to batch input) you can transfer orders automatically from external systems. For this, the data existing in the external files is set in the data fields in the new internal orders. This occurs in parallel with the creation of orders in the application.
The receiver structure (OREXT - Order External) for including data from the external system, consists of the fields of the order master data and up to three settlement rules.
Actions
If the sender and receiver structures should be identical, proceed as follows:
- Define the sender structure:
- Choose "New entries".
- Enter the name of the sender structure (such as, ORSEND) as well as an explanatory text.
- Enter a "1" under "Item".
- Enter "ORTEXT" as the "DDIC structure".
- Save the sender structure.
- Edit the transfer rules:
- Choose "Environment -> Transfer rules".
- The sender structure generated is already set as a default.
- Choose "Maintain" to edit the transfer rules.
- Choose "Create rule default".
- The system inserts the field names for the sender structure in the sender fields.
- Save the rule default.
If the sender- and receiver structure should not be identical, you can find information on further configuration possibilities in the Implementation Guide for the EIS Application Component.
Notes
The "RKOFILET" report is an example of data transfer from an external system. Using this report, you can create sender records for test purposes on the hard disk of your presentation server. Proceed as follows:
- Generate (as described above) the sender structure "ORSEND".
- Start the RKOFILET report and fill some of the fields offered.
As this refers to a test, the data is not checked.
- Start the old data transfer. "Start old data transfer".
Set the following indicators for the test:
File system: "Presentation server"
File type: "CSV format"
Number format: "Decimal point"
- Choose "Log" for an overview of the sender records written and the messages for each record.
To see this overview at a later date, start the "RKCDLMON" report.
