In this step, you maintain the billing plan type.

You use the billing plan type to stipulate:

  • Date category
  • Standard billing plan, whose dates are appear as defaults when you create a billing plan type.

You use the date category to regulate the:

  • Invoicing rule; for example, partial billing by percentage
  • Default value for date description
  • Whether and when dates are copied from milestones to the billing plan

You can assign a default billing plan to the WBS element.

Requirements

The billing plan type offers only the date categories which you have already assigned to the billing plan type.

Standard settings

The standard system we deliever contains billing plan type 31.

Recommendation

Activities

  • Check whether you require additional billing plan types.
  • Create more if you require them by choosing New entries.
  • Assign the date categories you required to the biling plan.
  • Choose a date category for the billing plan type.
  • If you want to maintain default dates for the standard billing plan, choose Dates. You can designate a billing plan you have already created to be the standard billing plan.
