In the costing sheet you specify the condition types to be used for pricing in resource planning. You also define the sequence in which the condition types are to be used. During pricing, the SAP system determines which costing sheet is valid for a business transaction and sequentially processes the condition types contained in the costing sheet.

Costing sheets consist of one or more costing sheet items.

The costing sheet items refer to condition types. You can use the SAP-defined condition types or define your own. The level numbers determine the sequence of the condition types in the costing sheet.

You can maintain your own resource prices or search for prices, for example, from the material master record, using condition type CQ02.

Standard settings

SAP supplies the following costing sheets in the standard system:

  • RES1    CO Resource prices
  • RES2    CO Resource prices for materials

Recommendation

  • You should use the costing sheets supplied by SAP as much as possible.
  • Do not make any changes to the costing sheets supplied by SAP in the standard.

Activities

If you do not want to use the costing sheets provided by SAP, you need to create one or more user-defined costing sheets. To create a costing sheet, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New entries.
  2. Enter a maximum six-character key, as well as a name for your new costing sheet.
  3. Save your entries.

To maintain costing sheet rows, proceed as follows:

  1. Select a costing sheet and choose Costing sheet items.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. Enter a level, the condition type and a name.
  4. Save your entries.

Notes on transport

To import standard settings for resource planning, you can use a special function in Customizing under Controlling -> General Controlling -> Production Start-Up Preparation -> Transport Planning Settings -> Import Standard Settings for Resource Planning.
