In this step, you can define which additional information should be included when the output list is printed for the reports in Inventory Management.
You also specify whether the detail list (non-hierarchical list) of a report should be printed in a different format (ALV Grid Control). The alternative format means that detail lists are more convenient to work with and offer more options, such as those you are familiar with from spreadsheet programs. These include:
- Changing the columns using drag and drop
- Adjusting column width using drag and drop
- Scrolling using the vertical scroll bar
- Using the context menu via the right-hand mouse button for column headers and lines
- Selecting multiple columns with the CONTROL and SHIFT keys
- Calculating sub-totals via item characteristics
All of these functions can be defined for the following reports:
- Manage Held Data (Inventory Management) (MMIM_PREDOC_MAINTAIN)
- Material Document List (RM07DOCS)
- List of Stock Values: Balances (RM07MBST)
- Material Documents with Reason for Movement (RM07MGRU)
- Display Consignment and Returnable Packaging Stocks at Customer (RM07MKON)
- Stocks at Subcontractor (RM07MLBB)
- Display Warehouse Stocks of Material (RM07MLBS)
- Display Valuated GR Blocked Stock (RM07MOA)
- List of GR/IR Balances (RM07MSAL)
- Display Stock in Transit (RM07MTRB)
- Reservation List (RM07RESL)
Example
You can specify that when the output list is printed:
- The selection options are printed on a separate title page
- The list status is also printed. The list status specifies how many items the output list contains and which sort criteria were chosen, for example.
Standard settings
- The selection options are included in the printout of the output list.
- The list status is not included in the printout of the output list.
- The system does not print a separate title page for the selection options and the list status when printing the output list.
- With the exception of the report that produces the list of stock values (RM07MBST), the detail lists have enhanced functions and are more user friendly (ALV Grid Control).
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you accept the settings defined in the standard system. In this case, no action is required on your part.
Activities
Define the settings for the reports according to your requirements.
