In this IMG activity, you maintain the different authorization profiles which define the authorizations of individual users. Profiles contain authorization objects for delimited working areas with corresponding authorizations. You should specify the authorization profile for a user in the user master record.

Standard Settings

An example of a general profile which includes all authorizations for the entry of trip data has already been created in the standard SAP system.

Model profile with all authorizations:

P_TRV_ALL    General authorization for HR Travel

Recommendation

If you define your own profiles, the descriptions should start with the letters Y or Z since in the SAP standard system these name ranges are reserved for the customer.

Actions

  1. Check the standard profiles.
  2. If these profiles are not sufficient, you should define new profiles for the individual user groups according to your requirements. To do this, refer to the standard sample profiles.
  3. Group the authorizations together into one profile.
  4. Save the profile.
  5. Activate the profile.

Notes for transport

You transport profiles as follows:

  1. Display the profiles list.
  2. Choose "Profile - Transport".
  3. Select the profiles you wish to transport.
  4. Confirm your selections and enter the correction number.
