In this step, you assign a data set, a design and a tool box to an application specific context. When you call up Structural Graphics in a particular application (Organizational Management or Shift Planning, for example), you will access one of the contexts defined here.

Example

You create your organizational plan using Simple Maintenance in Organizational Management, from there you can call up Structural Graphics. You can make settings in Structural Graphics regarding object shape, line color and layout of information. The system offers the "STANDARD" tool box.

Standard settings

The SAP standard system provides preset contexts for all graphics applications:

  • GENERAL (Organizational Management)
  • HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
  • RHCGROUP (Training and Event Management)
  • WORKFORCE (Shift Planning)

Activities

  1. Assign a data set to each context. If you do not enter a data set, the short name "SHORT" for objects or "RELATION" for relationships is displayed in Structural Graphics.
  2. Assign a design to each context. If you do not enter a design, a standard design is used (green sqaures and solid lines).
  3. Assign a tool box to each context. If you do not enter a tool box, no other functions will be available to you for editing the data contained in the graphic.

Further notes

Contexts for graphic applications are defined in a cross-client table.
