Use

Using the customer enhancement Define Entry for Progress Entries you can configure the entry and modification of progress entries for specific applications. The Categories determined by the application are used as filter values for calling the corresponding implementation.

The entry and maintenance of progress entries can be implemented as a dialog box or be controlled by a program (see IS-H*MED PD Service Interface).


Requirements

Standard settings

If the application program cannot find an active filter implementation which corresponds to the category, it will automatically call the Standard Dialog Box.

Activities

  • If the standard dialog box is used, no further activity is required.
  • If you require an application-specific dialog box or the entry of progress entries controlled by a program, you implement a customer enhancement for the category determined by the application.
    • You create the customer enhancement and select the filter value from the table, or enter a new one.
    • You implement the necessary functionality using the BAdI Interface.
      You should use the Standard Implementation as a template.
    • You then test and activate the implementation.

Example

A dialog box with a field for entering a short text is implemented for entering progress comments (annotations). You assign this dialog box to the Comment category, for example. In the application you must assign the progress entries to this Comment category.
