The MITRA Simple Interface (MSI) is an asynchronous file interface.
IS-H*MED RAD IC writes the supplied MSI messages (Event Types) as ASCII files into the communications directory that is defined in the transaction FILE.
The Broker periodically reads the files and saves them in an individual database.
An MSI message needs only the following syntax:
<MSIAttribute> <SPACE> <STARTSEP><MSIValue><STOPSEP> <CRLF>
Example
PATIENT_NAME <Doe^John>
For each MSI message a file is created.
IS-H*MED RAD IC supports the following MSI Event Type:

Activities
- You define the MSI parameters MSI_ATTR_LISTSEP, MSI_ATTR_STARTSEP, MSI_ATTR_STOPSEP, MSI_FTP_HOST, MSI_FTP_PORT, MSI_FTP_PATH and MSI_FTP_USER in the activity Maintain Parameters.
- You maintain the physical path from which the MITRA PACS Broker reads the files with the transaction FILE. You use the logical path name ISH_MED_RAD_MSI_PATH.
Further notes
When using the MSI, the worklist - delta logging should be activated (general parameter MSI = 'X').
