Every item of a clinical order is identified internally by a unique, client-wide item ID. This item ID is independent of the institution.
With this function you specify the interval of the number range ISH_N1VKID from which the item ID is to be assigned.

Define the number range as follows:
Number range: ISH_N1VKID
Institution: <blank> = Institution-dependent
Operation mode: N = Normal
Interval: 01 or an interval from which the item ID should be taken. Note that only internal number assignment is supported for the item ID.

The item ID is only used for system-internal identification and is invisible to the user.
You can also define an order number which is visible to the user, and can be used as a reference number and search criteria.
To define the preregistration number, you create the number range object ISH_NPRGNR.
