Use
The following information is particularly useful if you wish to integrate new aspects in the patient organizer or in the patient viewer of the documentation work station in SAP Ambulatory Care Management. Aspects enable the collection of various views of the patient's electronic medical record. These views include:
- A view of the patient's documents sorted by department.
- Time restriction to the last n months/years
- View of the most important information from the medical history
You can define new customer-specific aspects. However, you can also use the patient organizer/patient viewer using only the aspects delivered as standard.
Requirements
Standard settings
In order to be able to use the patient organizer from the beginning, setting information is delivered. The system distributes this setting information to all clients of the system during upgrade. You do not need to transport the standard settings.
The SAP standard aspects are delivered using Switch BC Sets. The following aspects are available with an activated i.s.h.med switch:
- Day: Grouping by days
- Week: Grouping by weeks
- Month: Grouping by months
- Quarter: Grouping by quarters
- Year: Grouping by years
- Case: Case-related grouping
- Overall: Overall view without grouping
- Dia.-Proc.: Aspect, in which only case-related diagnoses and procedures are displayed
- Case-Time: Case-related aspect, which is sorted chronologically
- Time Grid: Display as time grid
These aspects are assigned to all users as standard. Should users not required one or more aspects, you can deactivate these in the aspect assignments.
Note: The time grid aspect is not assigned to any user. You must make this assignment manually.
The following aspects are available when the SAP Ambulatory Care switch is activated:
- Outpatient Clinic Folder: Display of all outpatient notes with further medical documents
- Medication: Medication orders and events
- Documents
- Notes: Display of all outpatient notes
- Orders
- Diagnoses
- Procedures
- Surgeries
- Medical record
- Appointments/Visits
- Services
- Pathways
- Problems
- Medication
- Adm. services
These aspects are mainly intended for providing information to the documentation tasks in the outpatient work station and can therefore be assigned to the information items. However, these aspects can also be generally integrated into the patient organizer.
Maintenance Functions for Aspects
Maintenance functions are available to you for creating new aspects, managing existing aspects, and assigning aspects to users. You can call these maintenance functions as follows:
- In the patient organizer using
- Settings menu -> Maintain Aspects
- Settings menu -> Create/Change Aspects
- In template management in the documentation work station in the SAP Ambulatory Care Management component
You can find further information in the online documentation on the patient organizer/patient viewer.
