Here, you define whether or not the quantity conversion dialog box appears during a quantity conversion calculation. It is possible to separately specify for goods receipts and goods issues whether the dialog box appears for calculations at a particular location or not.

It is possible to mask both the plant and storage location fields in the table, i.e. to have a generic entry for issues or receipts that will apply at all storage locations that do not have an individual entry in the table.

Example

D/C Plnt SLoc CM
------------------
| S | | |3 |
------------------

A company requires that, in general, all goods receipts into its storage locations be accompanied by a shipping document that provides information on the movement conditions (for example, temperature and density). Thus, it requires that the quantity conversion dialog box appears to enable these values to be input.

Thus, for the debit/credit indicator debit (i.e. goods receipt), the plant and storage location fields will be left blank and a conversion mode of '3' (manual; dialog box always appears, to allow entry of calculation parameters before the calculation is performed) will be entered.

Recommendation

The table should be configured with at least one entry for goods receipts (D/C indicator debit) and one entry for goods issues (D/C indicator credit).

Explicit entries take precedence over masked entries.

Further notes

For the new Enjoy transactions, the conversion mode is interpreted in the following way:

  • Semi-manual conversion mode: The quantities calculated cannot be overwritten.
  • All other conversion modes: The quantities calculated can be changed.
