Use
In this IMG activity, you can define your own checks for the availability control checks to be used as well as those delivered by SAP.
By default, the availability control (AVC) for the budget control system is set in such a way as to check the actual/commitment assigned funds already posted (Data source 0) against the budget entered in Grants Management (GM) for assigned funds (Data source 1).
In this activity, you can define a different user-specific AVC by defining the check on Budget against budget. To do this, choose another budget category as data source 0, instead of a posting ledger.
This type of AVC can be used, for example, if you want to specify a "frame budget" for your budget as data source 1 (from data source 0) which should not be exceeded by further budget allocations.
Note:
If you want to define this user-specific AVC in your organization, you must note the following:
- For such checks, use user-specific AVC ledgers and not the ledger delivered by SAP 9K.
- SAP delivers a range of budget categories, that you can choose in the field AVC Data source 0 using F4. Then use only the GM data sources.
