In this activity you activate the fields that should be entered when you update the Flexible General Ledger (such are cost center, if it is to be posted to in Controlling).
You make entries in these fields by selecting certain scenarios.
The following scenarios are available for this:
- Cost of sales accounting
- Profit center inclusion
- Cost center inclusion
- Consolidation preparation
- Business area consolidation
- Offsetting account inclusion
After selecting scenarios, entries are made for the SAP standard fields in the Flexible General Ledger. If you have included you own fields in the general ledger, you can set them up so that entries are made for them as well during updating.

If you do not want to use the enhanced functions of the Flexible General Ledger, you do not need to make any additional settings here. In this case, the dimensions account and business area are added to general ledger 0L.
Example
If you activate profit center inclusion, the PRCTR and PPRCTR fields receive entries.
Recommendation
If you do not want to use the new functions of the Flexible General Ledger, you do not need to make any changes to the settings here. In this case, the system adds the dimensions account/business area to general ledger 0L.
Activities
Activate the scenarios you wish to use. Using "Customer enhancements" you can determine if entries should be made for your own fields.
