In this activity you use program EWULKUSR to lock the system for all users who are not involved in the changeover. You only lock the system for logging on. Users who are already logged on are only affected when they try to log on again.
This means that no new documents can be posted during table conversion. This would cause serious errors during conversion.
Activities
If you execute this function, you receive a list with all the users you have selected in the Select Administration Users activity.
Choose Lock Users to lock system access for all other users.
Additional Information for Central Changeover (Except for Consolidation):
- If you start postprocessing with a separate system lock, carry out this activity twice:
1. Before table conversion, in the chapter System Settings Before Conversion
2. Before starting the postprocessing programs in the chapter Central Changeover: Postprocessing - If you start postprocessing immediately after converting the tables, carry out this activity only once before converting the tables in the chapter System Settings Before Conversion. Since you do not reset the system lock before postprocessing, this activity is not required in the chapter Central Changeover: Postprocessing.
