This activity is only required if you are working with an Oracle database.

Oracle tries to always ensure consistent read operations, that is the status that is valid at a given time. For this purpose rollback segments are used. However, if too many transactions run simultaneously, Oracle must release this information because new transactions have to be stored.

Create one or two large rollback segments and set the remaining rollback segments offline. Choose large sizes for Initial Extent and Next Extent (1GB). Allocate all extents using the MinExtent parameter.
