This step gives you the opportunity to let the system assign the consolidation units, which are to be changed over, to the changeover package.
The system assigns to the package all consolidation units that are carried in a participating local currency and that are not yet changed over. The system also assigns those units that were carried in a participating currency during an earlier time period but were not carried in such a local currency at the time of the changeover.
You also have the option to restrict the assignment to ranges of dimensions or ranges of consolidation units.
Furthermore, to change over ledgers, you can determine that the rollup consolidation units be included in the changeover. Then the ledger currency that is defined in the local currency field of the rollup unit is changed over. This changeover is only necessary if you use the rollup unit functionality.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you check the automatically assigned consolidation units in step Assign consolidation units manually.
Activities
For this package, decide whether to assign the consolidation units automatically or not.
If desired, restrict the assignments to certain ranges.
