You assign the accounting indicator later to the CRM service order or to the CRM service confirmation. It is used in all actual cost postings to differentiate the origin.

Requirements

It is only appropriate to assign an accounting indicator to a CRM service order or CRM service confirmation if one of the following applies:

  • The associated internal order is settled to a profitability segment. In this case the Profitability Analysis component (CO-PA) must be active. The accounting indicator influences the determination of value fields for the profitability segment in Profitability Analysis.
  • The associated internal order is to settle its costs to different receivers (such as warranty costs settled to a special cost center). In this case you must activate the accounting indicator for settlement, create assignments in the source structure, and in the Controlling scenario assign the receivers to which the costs are to be settled with the accounting indicator.
