To be able to use commitments management, you need to carry out the following steps:

• Activate commitments management in the controlling area
• Save a default value for commitments management in cost center types
• Overwrite, if necessary, the default value in cost center maintenance

Requirements

• You have completed the IMG activity Activate Cost Center Accounting in Controlling Area.
• If you require user-defined cost center types, you must create these first.

Activities

1. Activate commitments management in the control indicators of your controlling area.
2. Store a default value per cost center type for the commitment management indicator. When creating new cost centers of this type, you can accept or change the default value.

If necessary, overwrite the default value in cost center maintenance. To do so in collective maintenance of cost centers, use Goto -> Indicator.

Note on transport

To transport controlling area settings, a separate function is available in Customizing under Controlling -> General Controlling.
