By maintaining the assignment of one or more statistical key figures to a cost center (dependent on an activity type), you determine which key figure is transferred to which cost center/activity type.

The assignment is made with a variant, which is created in the assignment framework. A variant can be used to delimit the area of the LIS database from which key figures are taken using characteristic values:

Example

Requirements

  • The LIS and modules from which key figures are taken must be active.
  • You have created statistical key figures and linked them to the LIS.
  • You created the objects (cost centers, activity types) for which the key figures will be transferred.
  • You have completed activity type planning for the cost centers and activity types for which you wish to transfer key figures.

Activities

  1. Determine which key figures will be transferred from the LIS.
  2. Determine which key figure will transfer to which cost center/activity type.
  3. Enter a cost center, version, and fiscal year for which key figures are transferred.
  4. Create the variants.

    If you do not make any limitations on the characteristic values selected, the SAP system takes the corresponding key figures from the entire LIS database.

  5. Assign a variant to each key figure.
  6. Save your settings.

For the transport of settings for the transfer of activity-dependent key figures from the LIS, an individual function is available in Customizing under Controlling -> General Controlling.
