In this IMG activity, you define the selection screen for order selection using classification. In the information system, under "Cost Analysis", you use classification characteristics to select the orders you want to analyze. You can also use selection using characteristics in general order selection (for collective processing of order master data and settlement, and the master data index in the information system).

Check the internal orders selection screen in the SAP standard, and define additional selection screens if necessary. You can use the additional selection screens in other applications, such as process manufacturing.

For each selection screen, you define:

  • which characteristics are offered for processing
  • the order in which the characteristics are processed

Standard settings

The standard SAP System includes a selection screen for internal orders.

Activities

  1. To check the selection screen for internal orders, place the cursor on the name of the selection screen and choose "Assign characteristics".
  2. To define a new selection screen, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose "New entry".
    2. Enter a name for the selection screen.
    3. Place the cursor on the name of the selection screen and choose "Assign characteristics".
    4. Choose the characteristics you want, changing the sequence if necessary.
