When eliminating intercompany payables and receivables with proportionally consolidated companies, values are only eliminated to the extent of the (lower) proportion.
The remainder for the purchase method company or the company with the higher proportion is posted to an 'external' item.
To automatically post the remainder to an external item, assign the selected items to the respective FS items.
You can also leave the remainder on an item, instead of posting it to an 'external' item. This alternative is generally used for the income statement.
Keep in mind that a uniform procedure is necessary for all items belonging to one elimination set.
Standard settings
The selected items needed for the automatic posting of external shares are preset in the SAP standard system for the delivered versions.
The assigned item numbers are reconciled with the FS chart of accounts preset in the SAP R/3 standard delivery system.
Activities
- Assign the items for each selected item version. Assign the key Q + document type with the indicator "*".
- There is no need to assign the key Q + document type if the remainder is left on the item in the income statement.
Additional Information
If you have automatically replaced the item numbers preset in the system with your own item numbers, this change is also carried out in the selected items.
