Exchange rate (ER) types consist of the the exchange rate version and the exchange rate indicator.
In the system, you store every ER type needed for currency translation using a 4-digit key, which is made up of the 3-digit ER version and the 1-digit ER indicator.
Typical exchange rate types are, for example, rates of exchange on a certain key date, average rates or historical exchange rates.
Standard settings
Various exchange rate types are preset in the SAP standard delivery system.
Activities
Store the necessary exchange rate types in the system.
