In this step, you can set up number ranges for each document type so that document numbers can be automatically assigned.
Standard settings
Three number ranges are pre-defined for the standard ledger no. 10 in the standard SAP system.
Activities
Set up the number ranges for standardizing entries and consolidation entries.
Note on transports
You can manually include number range objects in a transport request under Interval -> Transport.
Ensure that all ranges for the selected number range object have been deleted in the target system, so that only the exported ranges will exist after the import. Numbers are imported with the value which they have at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
Further notes
- The FI-LC module only supports the internal assignment of document numbers.
- You can copy number ranges to a different ledger with the function Utilities -> Copy.
