In the translation method, you can specify that journal entries be recorded. For this, you need to define a document type and assign it to a translation method.
Document types that are used in currency translation must have certain attributes. You therefore cannot use the document types you defined in the section Posting for currency translation. Instead, you define document types for currency translation in this section.

If you want the system to record journal entries, define a document type for this purpose.
