In this step, you define the revaluation measures (key, description, depreciation areas and posting data). You need a special depreciation area for each revaluation.
You have to create the calculation rule for the revaluation using a user exit (see the System Administration Guide: Individual User Modifications). In order to carry out the revaluation, you have to use the report RAAUFW01.
Requirements
You must have set aside a depreciation area for revaluation.
Activities
- Call up the function "Set chart of depreciation," if the currently allocated chart of depreciation is not the one you want.
- Make the following specifications for your revaluation:
- posting date or asset value date of the revaluation
- depreciation area, in which the revaluation is to be managed separately
- depreciation areas, in which the revaluation is also to be posted
- base area for calculating revaluation
Further notes (Transport)
You can include the revaluation measure in a transport request in the overview screen of the transaction under Object -> Transport. Note that the definition of the revaluation applies only in specific clients. Therefore, you need to transport not only if you need transports between systems (for example, from a test system to a productive system), but also in order to make the revaluation measure available in other clients.
